Help the Webmonkey

Hey all,

So as you may have noticed, our Website has gone down.

How would you like to help in getting it back online?

Here's what you can do.

First, go check your Browser Cashe. For those of you who don't know how to do that, I'll explain:

I'm using Internet Explorer. If you have a different type of browser, please look up on how to do it for yourself.

1) Up in the tool bar, click "Tools"

2) In the drop down menu, click "Internet Options"

3) On the "General" tab, you should see section marked "Temporary Internet Files". Click the "Settings" button.

4) This will open a new window called Settings. Click the "View Files" button. This will open an explorer window called "Temporary Internet Files", where you can view all of the pictures, pages, and various files you have accumulated during your various surfing sessions.

5) Click the bar at the top of the list named "Internet Address". This will arrange the files in order according to the name of the site they came from.

6) Scroll down the list, and stop if you find any, (any at all), files from the website:

http://users.adelphia.net/~los_helljack

7) Select all the files associated with that website, highlight them all and right click. You can now choose to "Copy" them.

8) Finally, copy all the files you find in your browser cashe to a .zip file. Attach that .zip file to an email and send it to me at:

helljack@msn.com

9) Pat yourself on the back for a job well done.

I figure that there might be enough of us that if everyone has viewed every page, I will only have to re-code a couple of minor things to get our website back up and running.

I've contacted One World by Night. They offer free web hosting to chapters, and if I can get back all my missing files, I'll be able to slap them back up once I have the space to use.

Hurdy Gur,

The HellJack...you can thank James for this idea

Webpage update

Hey guys,

First off, thank you to those of you who sent in Character Bios to your humble Web Monkey here.

I've updated the Photos page (finally) to include our last game on the 9th of February.

Speaking of photographs, I invite all of you who want to snap a few shots yourself. If you send them to me, they might just make it up on our page for the world to ignore.

Big thanks to Carl, who took the shots last game.

That's all I have for right now. Thanks for playing, and send in your write-ups to the Storytellers. They need attention, too.

Heh...

Major Update

Hey all,

The Staff was nice enough to get me a "bare-bones" set of Biographies for almost every character in our game.

I've since added them to the site. If you want to write one up for yourself, feel free to send it right to your humble Webmaster at:

helljack @ msn.com

And there you go.

Hey all,

At this moment I don't have time to put all our new photographs up at Blackened Veins dot Com, but I do have time to share them with all of you fine folks.

Soon as I get a solid minute, I'll arange them on the site.

Thanks for your patience.

North East Event 2007

Hey all,

I'm having some modem problems at home, so it will be a bit before I can get these shots added to the Blackened Veins website.

But, I do have them loaded up and ready for viewing.

This was my very first big shindig, and I had a blast. Much thanks to all for making it a whole world of fun.

I have the Court Officers page done. They are all set up to link to the Character Bio. If there isn't a Character Bio up yet for the Officer in question, it will just go to the Clan Page until I get further information.

Oh, and to make certain members of the Court happy...I've added a Court Seating Chart to the Officers Page. Now people know where to sit during court...

Heh...

I have all the NPC Characters up in the Characters Page. Thanks Ryan for providing the info.

Also, I tweeked the Directions page a little so folks traveling into Maine can call up a set of directions from a variety of starting points. Might help them come visit our little game.

Remember to send in a Character Bio so I can add you into the Characters Page. The link to the online form can be found at the bottom of every Clan Page.

Thanks.

I have the Staff page all set up.

Now, save for a little fine tuning here and there all I have to do is wait for some folks to send me their Bio and a few lists regarding Court Officers and the such.

Alright.

I have the first few Players up on the Characters Page, so that's cool.

I've also made up a special On-Line version of the Website Bio Form so you can just fill it out and hit "Submit" and it will shoot off and land right in my inbox.

So, I highly recommend checking out what is up there already and then filling one out for yourself.

Thanks guys.

I have the Photo Page done for now.

Unfortunately, I can take more photos at a game when I'm...you know...not playing in it much.

I'll work harder at getting more shots of us fine folks up here in Portland.

I'm also waiting on a few lists from the Storytellers before I go ahead and start working on the Characters page.

Finally, the link for the Norteast Event is up on the Schedule Page. Go check it out.

Yeeha! We should find a picture of me without redeye, but yeeha nonetheless. 2008 schedule will be posted after this weekend, after I retrieve it from the ISG meeting. Also, I can't remember if we are rescheduling or simply dropping our November game: it feels like we'd reschedule, but I'll check with Ryan to make sure. More information to come! Huttah!
